Ongoing Projects

Finding inspiration to reach for a book is tough, if reading becomes associated with studying or work. INSMS launched the Book Club in summer of 2021 to rekindle the passion for books, to spark discussion, deepen our engagement with stories and storytelling, and to expand our literary horizons through exploration of various literary genres including fiction, poetry, memoirs, graphic novels, children’s literature, and more. We aim to celebrate migrant and diaspora writing, and strive to present a selection of diverse well-known and less well-known authors from all corners of the world. Through the project, we hope to build a community of book-lovers and provide nuanced representation of migrants and migration.

The INSMS Migration Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 8 PM CET, for knowledgeable discussions that go beyond the lecture hall. Don’t miss our next debate in the Migration Book Club!
